Film Industry Charity

Film Education is the UK’s leading film industry charity providing training to teachers including workshops and free resources. The charity also organizes events such as the Film Industry Conference for UK based teachers in both film and media.

Every year the charity organizes free-to-attend screenings across the UK including the ‘National Schools Film Week’, which school groups can participate in. Nearly 500,000 young people receive free cinema entry thanks to the schemes offered by Film Education.

The Film Education website also has a film library for teachers looking to get in-depth notes for various course curriculums in the UK. The site has a comprehensive A-Z film review list with teacher’s notes, production notes, and downloadable PDF study guides.

Film industry conference

Teachers from all across the UK can participate in the Film Industry Conference to learn about new media, and case studies covering film production. The conference covers different aspects of the UK film industry including film distribution, 3D and film funding.

The charity recommends the event for teachers of Media and Film studies, Creative and Media diplomas and for the International Baccalaureate.
